Multiple Implant DenTistry

Multiple Implants

1.  46 year old male with severe wear on upper front teeth that is not restorable.  Best option was extractions of 8 teeth and replaced with 6 implants.

Before:

After: 6 Implants on Top Arch, 4 implants on Bottom Arch

2.  55 year old male with multiple missing teeth requests implant restorations to replace his removable dentures.  We placed 7 implants and patient is now able to eat well with fixed restorations.

3.  39 year old male with congenitally missing teeth.  We did 3 implants and single crowns and improved his smile.

After

This patient came to our office with one broken tooth and a missing tooth on his lower right quadrant.  See Xray “Before.”  We removed the root on the broken tooth and, on the same visit, placed implants on its position and the position behind it.  See Xray labelled “Implants Placed“.  After allowing the bone to heal into the implants for 4 months,  two porcelain crowns were cemented into the implants.  Unlike bridges, implants do not affect neighboring teeth, and the patient is able to easily brush and floss the area.

Implant Bridge

Before – Broken Bridge and Low Sinus

Implants Placed
Bridge Cemented on top of Implants

This patient had an existing fractured bridge. The bridge extended almost the entire upper right quadrant. Similar to the bridge patient has on the lower left of the x-ray. This patient had the teeth removed and bridge placed so many years ago that the sinus dropped as seen in the first x-ray (Before-Broken and Missing Bridge and Sinus). In order to place implants we needed to lift the sinus and add bone to the area (see x-ray Sinus Lift and Bone Graft). Once the sinus was lifted and bone healed we placed two implants to use as anchors for the implant bridge (see x-ray Implant Placement for Bridge). After months of healing we placed porcelain 3 unit bridge to look natural and restore function (see photo After-Implant Bridge)
